POSITION #279-EXC-10-19: VEX/Robotics Club Coach
Foothills Middle School
Stipend: $1,613 - $2,880
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Robotics Coach will: Recruit students and create teams. Supervise practices and travel to competitions. Facilitate the development and implementation of student learning. Collect necessary paperwork. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator about program plans and needs. Communicate with parents about schedules, travel logistics, etc. Proactively handle any disciplinary issues that may arise. Other duties as deemed necessary by the head coach, program coordinator or building administration. Developing student leadership skills. Deepening student STEM knowledge and skills. Coordinating assistant and volunteer coaches. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work as a team player and understand the needs of middle school aged students. Middle school teaching experience preferred. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position. May require prolonged sitting or standing.
