JOB SUMMARY: Tend machine that automatically deposits and cooks batter and bread to make pancakes, waffles and French toast. Job includes making minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as necessary.
Tends machine that automatically deposits and cooks batter and bread to make waffles, pancakes, and French toast.
Observes color of baked batter on grill conveyor to detect deviations.
Monitors quality of product and removes substandard product and tosses in totes on floor.
Monitor flow of product and flippers.
Lights gas burners to heat conveyor grill.
Adjusts controls to monitor speed and temperature of conveyor grill.
Records information regarding process speed, waste and weight.
Checks temperature of egg white and temperature of product coming out of cooker and freezer.
Is responsible for Monitoring internal temperatures for the Cook and Chill Step (includes observations or measurements) to assess whether the critical control point (CCP) is being met for HarpC.
Must be free of identified pathogens spread by infected persons handling food such as Hepatitis A, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.
Must understand and follow safety/Food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards at all times.
Trained and validated to clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to their focus area (For example, cooks – cookers, depositors, conveyors, floors, walls, etc.)
Trained and knowledgeable of the principles of sanitation, proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques, and PPE requirements
Trained and knowledgeable of ladder safety
Trained and knowledgeable in water and drain management
Must have basic knowledge of plant specific cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, chemical solution strengths, and chemical handling
Maintain timely and regular attendance.
Must be able to work overtime to meet production deadlines
Must be able to rotate to position of Bread Layer.
Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Other production specific duties as needed.
