ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a businesslike, professional manner.USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERSProduction tools and instruments will include a TIG welding equipment, other welding and brazing equipment (spot welder, braze torch, etc.), standard machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, bandsaw, shear, etc.) as well as a variety of rough and precision hand tools, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.
Work is performed mostly in a production floor, hands-on setting.
Work is generally preformed Monday through Friday.
Ability to safely operate standard welding and brazing equipment (torches, power supplies, gas supplies)
Ability to safely operate standard machine shop equipment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, periodically bending, lifting and twisting.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
May be required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Keyboarding may require repetitive use of wrists, hands, and fingers, and frequently applying force to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
Be physically mobile within lab/setting, assemble papers, keyboarding, staple, file, photocopy, apply sufficient force to open and close file drawers, operate machinery, measure items.
Must be able to communicate by oral speech, writing and hearing in person and/or by phone in a businesslike, professional manner.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

This position is exposed to moving parts, precarious conditions, and airborne particles consistent with a machine and welding shop. The noise level in the work environment is typical of a machine, welding and fabrication shop.
