Facilities & Capital Projects operates and maintains building systems, interior spaces, and building exteriors across Shoreline Community College's 26 buildings, including an award-winning automotive training center, a visual arts building, computer centers, laboratories, a student center, a theater, a gymnasium, a child care center, a multimedia center, and the Ray W. Howard Library/Technology Center. The office's primary function include grounds maintenance, custodial services, operations and maintenance, and capital projects. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Specialist 4, this position will evaluate equipment operations problems and emergencies in the multiple buildings on campus, take appropriate action to return equipment to its normal operating condition, respond to emergency calls and reported malfunctions on mechanical, electrical or utility systems, apply journey-level knowledge in associated trades, work independently and exercise independent judgment to solve problems.
