As an Employment Consultant, you can change lives of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in your community. Through one-on-one Job Coaching and Customized Job Development, put your creativity, case management and people skills to work in a growing career field that is as rewarding as it is meaningful! Due to program growth, multiple positions are now available.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Employment Consultants assist individuals with their career advancement and serve as a resource for businesses to promote a more inclusive workforce. As a specialized and hands-on case manager, each day has variety and challenges, including one-on-one teaching/coaching, planning and goal setting, job development, training and more. Regional teams support each other, celebrating successes and pitching in to solve challenging situations.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Visiting job sites to coach or check-in with individuals on your caseload
  • Meeting with potential employers to develop customized jobs
  • Completing case notes and reporting on progress toward goals
  • Maintain calendar and schedule based on caseload needs
  • Setting and attending planning meetings with individuals and their families or other supporters
  • Attending trainings, team meetings and social activities to learn new skills and bond with teammates

What you Bring to the Team:

  • Desire to work one-on-one with individuals and engage the business community
  • Positive, professional and open approach to life
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of business employment practices and networking
  • Ability to work independently and help people create plans for their future
  • Degree in related field OR 1+ year personal/professional/educational experience with individuals with disabilities in a community setting may be substituted
  • Valid Driver License and insured vehicle to use for work

Compensation package includes:

  • Competitive salary DOQ plus quarterly bonuses
  • Monthly cell phone and mileage reimbursement
  • Health Insurance, Retirement Savings plan
  • Up to 32 paid days off per year to start
  • Extensive paid training
