Scope of Position
The Intake Worker Volunteer Coordinator & Receptionist will see to the daily distribution of food and resources to those in our community. The idea is to utilize volunteers to sort the food, restock shelves, pack food boxes, speak to and register clients, etc. To that end, this position also includes the recruitment and coordination of those volunteers, as well as the volunteers needed to ring bells, help with the Giving Tree, etc. using the various resources (particularly web-based programs and social media) available through The Salvation Army and other non-profit groups. Due to the nature of volunteer coordination and answering of telephones, this position contributes directly to the operations of the entire Puyallup Valley Corps.
