Job Description

As a member of the Turner Exhibits Production Team, Metal Fabricators and Welders build and install custom kinetic architecture features and permanent exhibits for corporate, not-for-profit, and private clients located around the U.S. and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret design and technical shop drawings.
Select the appropriate tool(s) and process(es) from a variety of electrical and manual equipment to complete fabrication tasks.
Cut and layout parts to achieve quality results that meet design and performance criteria.
Produce appearance-grade, accurate, and structurally sound welds.
Work in a professional manner and maintain equipment properly to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Collaborate with others in the Production, Design, and Project Management teams to successfully deliver complex projects to completion.
Seek out and utilize the expertise of your peers and management.

Skills and Qualifications

Be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
Have prior fabrication experience. TIG and MIG experience preferred.
Work safely, accurately, and efficiently to achieve high levels of quality.
Contribute productively in a team environment.
Have the capability and desire to communicate effectively with a diverse set of individuals within and outside of Turner Exhibits.
Enjoy learning new skills and desire to continuously improve.
WABO and AWS certifications are welcomed, but not required.

The Metal Fabricator and Welder position is a member of the Production Team and reports to the Production Manager. This is an hourly full-time position with a full benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and 401K. Salary DOE.
