We currently have a Facilities Maintenance position available at our Land & Livestock/B&B Grain facility in Burbank, WA.
Contributes to the safe, efficient operation of the grain facility by providing the day to day maintenance of the terminal, and the completion of routine duties, in order to promote the effective and efficient use of the terminal resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
60% Operates welding equipment to fabricate terminal equipment and facilities. Diagnoses and repairs equipment and performs daily maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth operation of the grain facility. Confers with management and personnel to resolve maintenance issues and recommends measures to improve operating conditions of machinery and equipment. Ensures preventive maintenance work is scheduled and completed. Assists in maintaining the terminal’s physical property which may include but is not limited to the following duties: cleanup of grain spillages, performing bin sweeps, and general maintenance and housekeeping of the office and all other terminal facilities.
30% Operates computerized inventory system daily to load outbound trucks with product, communicating with drivers and operations personnel as necessary. Verifies contract availability and applies weights to open contracts. Provides drivers with outbound scale ticket, generates Bill of Lading and communicates daily transfers to Commodity Manager. Assists in measuring and calculating physical inventory. Reconcile physical inventory to system inventory.
5% Monitors and tracks rail shipments from point of origin to destination by performing duties such as: coordinating resources for receipt of commodity with Grain Terminal Manager, monitoring available storage, and completing required communication at time cars are released. Assists in unloading trains as necessary.
5% Maintains and updates computer application as necessary to include contract, vendor, delivery and other account information. Performs weekly recap of sales contracts, verifying accuracy of application to proper customer contract. Provides accounting personnel with inventory reports monthly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two to three years’ experience in plant manufacturing maintenance. Experience to include welding, electrical and some fabricating; or one year certificate from college or technical school in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute and apply rates, ratios, and percentages in practical situations.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Windows based computer applications. Must have intermediate mechanical skills and be able to weld.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is frequently very loud.
