Job Title: Refrigeration /Maintenance
Job Definition: Oversee the operation of refrigeration equipment as it relates to the freezing of product.
Specific Job Task:
Varies with job title, includes, but not limited to:1. Monitoring of temperature, pressure and air compressors.2. Entering information into a log as required.3. Required to oversee tunnel clean-up crew, with participation as required to ensure completion of job.4. General routine maintenance on process refrigeration equipment.5. Operate ammonia compressors, condensers and pumps, to allow maximum production with minimum cost. Familiar with function and use of the computer system for refrigeration.6. Recognize potential problems, trouble shoot and take corrective actions. Do routine maintenance on pumps and plumbing, lights, and enclosure.7. Maintenance to compressors is limited to filters, strainers, and seals. Familiar with the process of adding anhydrous ammonia to plant system.8. Operate boiler and do routine maintenance to include, change make-up pump, open boiler ends, to change external parts of boiler. Able to add boiler chemicals to system in correct proportions and be able to blow down system.9. Must possess current valid Washington state driver’s license and be forklift certified for utility driving. Able to work all shifts.
Physical Requirements:1. Strength- Lift 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 100 pounds.2. Stand/Walk- Stand and walk a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.3. Climb/Balance- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the like using the feel and legs and/or hands and arms. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on a narrow or slippery surface.4. Reach- Extend both hands and arms in any direction.5. Handle- Seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with the hands.6. See- Obtain impressions through the eyes of the shape, size, distance, motion, color, or other characteristic of objects.7. Twist and Turn- Able to twist/turn trunk of body from side to side.8. Stoop- Bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.9. Kneel- Bend the legs at the knees to come to rest on the knee or knees.10. Crouch- Bend the body downward and forward bending the spine and legs.11. Test- Must pass Level 2 Physical labor test.
