SUMMARY:
Provides technical expertise and coordination of hardware and software solutions to establish and maintain an enterprise network as well as computer systems to ensure the stable operation of the organizations IT assets
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Help design, setup, configure, and troubleshoot complex switching environments and maintain a thorough understanding of Wide Area and Local Area Networking
- Help Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
- Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
- Configure and set up Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances for access to vital business applications
- Install and configure client and server software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems including patch management and security hardening standards
- Maintain a thorough understanding of enterprise security for the internal and external network and stays abreast of emerging issues in technology that impact future procurement decisions
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and first level network administration support
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
- Support network infrastructure and document network issues and resolution for reference
- Monitors and troubleshoots system performance and implements performance tuning which requires a thorough knowledge of networking and serves as an analyst for network security.
- Act as backup to other IT administrators on an as needed basis
- Participate in group think in the areas of security solutions, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems
- Help design server needs from a networking standpoint
- Work with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to facilitate network products and services
- Craft diagrams and documentation to facilitate meaningful dialogue amongst end-users and leadership teams
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a resource to bank employees in enhancing the network security literacy of the banks workforce
- Conduct administration of systems and servers related to the network ensuring availability of services to authorized users
Shouldering assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
Monitor security systems with focus on documenting change control.
Monitor network security tools for incident detection.
Design and implement additional infrastructure as needed for new products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school; and four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in a timely manner.
- Accurate data input; at least 35 wpm
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
MCSE, MCP, CCNA, Fortinet, Cisco, or other networking certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email. The employee is required to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office. You may also frequently be required to occupy a workstation for long periods of time.
